Jackie Robinson: Branding

This conceptual branding for the man who broke the color barrier in Major League Baseball is meant to capture the look & feel of America’s past time in 1947 when Jackie Robinson first debuted as a Brooklyn Dodger.

The typeface is a custom set of characters that reflect the iconic signage at Ebbets Field, and Jackie’s now legendary #42 is prevalent throughout all created assets—as well as his unique and instantly recognizable batting stance.

This was a personal project to commemorate 75 years since Jackie first took the field. The Jackie Robinson Foundation has not yet endorsed or implemented any brand elements shown.
